Most of the families I meet have been meaning to do this for years. It's not that they don't care. It's that the whole thing feels confusing, a little morbid, and easy to put off until later.
That's the reason I teach this seminar. I'm Trent Linville. I was born and raised in Franklin, I earned my law degree at Belmont, and I've been practicing estate planning law in Tennessee since 2014.
My firm, Linville Estate Law, is here in Franklin, and estate planning is all we do. Our team of three attorneys has helped more than 1,000 Tennessee families put plans in place, and we try to live up to a simple idea: act like people, not like lawyers.
Estate planning is also personal for me. It started with my aunt, and I'll tell that story at the seminar. It's the reason I care so much about plans that actually work when a family needs them.
What to expect
- About an hour. We start at 6:00 and you're done by 7:00. Doors open at 5:45.

You'll take home the Estate Planning Made Simple workbook - the same one we teach from. - Light refreshments. Nothing to bring, nothing to prepare.
- Open Q&A at the end - ask anything.
